Liz Hester is new to Duet Build but a familiar face in the Denver design and construction communities. She’s an interior designer and operations expert—right-brained and left-brained—who began her career at Opus A&E, a design-build firm that includes disciplines from land acquisition and development to architecture, engineering, interior design, and construction. There, she developed a keen foundational understanding of the entire design-build process, which she’s relied on throughout her career.
Liz joined TRIO in 2012, which she helped grow from an office of two to a team of 100. It’s no surprise that she worked in a variety of areas, including marketing, HR, operations, and design. Her work included designing high-end custom spec homes to production model homes and multi-family housing developments. Liz became VP of Operations and helped lead the design team through an acquisition in 2018, collaboratively melding two sets of design and operational systems. In her last several years at TRIO, she led a 35-person team as VP of Commercial & Construction.
