She began her career at Opus A&E, a design-build firm that includes disciplines from land acquisition and development to architecture, engineering, interior design, and construction. Jeff Sage
With 35 years of hands-on experience in professional trades, Jeff brings knowledge in all things construction and building finance. “I enjoy helping people to discover their better selves,” he says. “I love the impact that our work has on the lives of our clients as they experience their new home for the first time. It’s life-changing for them, which, in turn, is life-changing for me.” Jeff started as an estimator for a boutique builder, working his way all the way up to owning and running a construction management company for 22 years that built some of the most iconic homes of the Vail Valley. He holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Colorado State University and an executive master’s in construction management and finance from the University of Denver.

DIRECTOR OF CONSTRUCTION

Jason Troyer
Following his passion for creating new spaces for people to call home, Jason is energized by the problem-solving process, especially in remodeling. CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Brian Murphy
Hardworking, enthusiastic and optimistic, Brian has been working in construction for 18 years. Jim Murphy
Brother to fellow Duet Build carpenter Brian, Jim Murphy brings 25 years’ experience in residential carpentry to his work for high-end clients. He began his career framing tract homes and worked his way to doing the framing and exterior trim work of luxury homes in Denver’s most esteemed neighborhoods. “I love the variety of work that comes with each new project, each day,” Jim says. When he’s not wielding tools, he’s probably telemark skiing with his partner, Traci, or fly-fishing with bamboo fly rods.

Carter Woolsey
Carter was working as a data scientist when he began experiencing a real desire to work with his hands (and get away from screens)—a change COVID eventually brought about. He cut his teeth in residential remodeling in Cincinnati before moving to Denver and joining Duet Build. “I love getting to spend time in different sites and meeting new people, clients or subcontractors. And having concrete, physical evidence of a day’s work is a beautiful thing,” he says. Fun fact: Carter’s professional life has included teaching English in China for a year after college and living in Barcelona and Mexico City.
